Best Practices Avoid software with intense graphics / processing requirements. Application Sharing works well for procedural demonstrations or for sharing webpages or applications that require login credentials (for example, LearningStudio) To prepare your applications prior to sharing individual applications, open them and reduce the window size so that it doesn’t occupy the whole screen. Don’t minimize them; leave them open behind the Collaborate window. The larger the application, the more time it will take to load on participants’ screens. Pause prior to moving on, and be much more conservative with your mouse movements/clicks. In Application Sharing, you are only broadcasting your screen; any application that plays audio will not convey to your participants. Participants will only hear audio that is recorded by your microphone. Remember that participants will see anything within the yellow Application Sharing boundary, including the Collaborate sidebar. Move unnecessary applications outside of the boundary. 15 D
