A Sentence A sentence is a group of words that tells a complete thought. ( Complete Sentence) A sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a period. Example: She goes hiking. A group of words that does not tell a complete thought is NOT a sentence. (Incomplete Sentence) Example: A big house / Sometimes
