Viruses A virus is harmful software that can be passed to different computers. A virus can delete and damage your personal folders and documents they get onto your computer by websites and emails they can make your computer freeze and crash Your computer will be sad, so protect it! next back home

Different types of virus Boot Viruses- stop computers booting up properly Trojans- pretend to be nice but there not Worm virus- they self-replicate and have negative effects on your computer Overwrite Viruses- it deletes information contained in the files that it infects Directory Virus- change the path that indicate the location of a file. next back home

How to prevent viruses How can we prevent computer viruses is the big question that millions of users make everyday. The first rule is to have an up-to-date antivirus your antivirus software needs to be updated every day. Viruses are always appearing make sure you not to download anything from any website you don't know and trust. Do not open e-mail attachments from people you don't know and be careful even if it is someone you know. If there computer was taken over they could send the virus to you. next back home
