Cirrus Clouds These types of clouds are made of tiny pieces of ice because they are so high in the air. These feathery or wispy clouds float high in the air. You often see Cirrus clouds in good or fair weather.

Cumulus Clouds These look like cotton or puffy. You usually see these clouds in good weather. Weather can become stormy when cumulus clouds become large.

Stratus Clouds These clouds form in layers. These clouds usually spread across the sky. You often see Stratus clouds during rain. Stratus clouds that form on the surface of the Earth are known as fog.

Cloud Song (Sung to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star) Cirrus, Cirrus In the sky You’re the one who floats so high. Cumulus, Cumulus Bouncy and white You make shapes for our delight. Stratus, stratus Low and gray You can hide the sun away.
