A History of Exploration

Timelines Events set out in some sort of line in the order in which they happened. A timeline gives a date and a short description of an event. Dates can either be from a single year or fir a period of time.

Creating a timeline of Explorers
On the next slide is a list of explorers and their important dates. Using the conventions of creating timelines that we have just learnt, create a timeline showing important dates for the Age of Discovery.

AGE OF EXPLORATION Create an Acrostic poem using the words ‘Age of Exploration. Use words that are relevant to the topic of explorers.
