Context A number of discussion papers and policies have emerged from DEECD over the past 12 months from both the Student Wellbeing and Youth Transitions Units The National Partnership on Youth Attainment & Transitions is providing a range of new programs and funding Now is an opportune time to review WMR strategies around disengaged young people

Starting point The Pathways to re-engagement through flexible learning options consultation paper talks about a continuum of flexible learning options This continuum provides a framework to map what is currently happening in Western Metropolitan Region

A continuum of flexible learning options Flexible learning options – the range of programs in school and community settings that support those children and young people at risk of disengaging or already disengaged from education to re-engage in school.
