SPACIOUS-MIND – RATE YOUR SKILL IN CHESS TESTS In this example Mephisto Vancouver was rated. All the moves as well as the rating score was automatically transferred to COLUMN A of the 2 nd TAB of the spreadsheet. SPACIOUS-MIND – RATE YOUR SKILL IN CHESS TESTS As you can see the results White, Black and Total Score were all transferred to COLUMN A of the second TAB. I like to keep all the rated results in this TAB and have them sorted by far left column = highest score – far right column = lowest score. 21.Qd8+ WHITE SCORE: 272833603160318431603148 BLACK MOVES 4.... SPACIOUS-MIND – RATE YOUR SKILL IN CHESS TESTS Next you place Vancouver’s rating score (2492) into the list by inserting a column as shown below.
12
SPACIOUS-MIND – RATE YOUR SKILL IN CHESS TESTS You then highlight COLUMN A and with your right mouse click you COPY column A.
13
SPACIOUS-MIND – RATE YOUR SKILL IN CHESS TESTS Finally you paste (using 123 Icon = text only) Mephisto Vancouver into the empty column that you had just created. In this example Vancouver’s result sits in-between Fritz 2 and Genius 1.0
14
SPACIOUS-MIND – RATE YOUR SKILL IN CHESS TESTS You can now go back to your test and copy the unrated cells by highlighting the cells as seen below, and paste them over the rated cells that you just completed. Then save your spreadsheet so that you are ready for a new test.
15
SPACIOUS-MIND – RATE YOUR SKILL IN CHESS TESTS As a final step, before starting other test games, you open the 5 Test Rating List and enter your completed test information in ROW 2. In this example it was Mephisto Vancouver that scored ELO 2492 in Test Game 1 (G1) NEVER!! Enter anything in ROW COLUMN I as this has a formula that is used to combine the scores of all 5 Test Games for a Final Rating Score. Once you have completed all 5 tests you can insert the final scores into the chart below by inserting a new appropriate ROW in the Ranking Table.
