Therapeutic course Course duration: 15 weeks Each week, there will be 2 days lectures (8 lectures) and 2 days hospital teaching. The following topics will be covered by the teaching staff: Cardiovascular system : 1-Hypertension. 2-Ischaemic heart diseases. 3-heart failure. Endocrine system: 4-Diabetes mellitus. 5-Thyroid gland disorders. Digestive system: 6-Peptic ulcer. 7-Liver cell failure. 8-Upper GIT bleeding.

Respiratory system: 9-Bronchial asthma. Common emergency cases in medical practice and in clinical pharmacology: Medical practice: *Anaphylaxis. *status epilepticus. *Addisonian crisis. *Cardiac arrest. *Bleeding and Thrombo-embolic disorders. *Paralytic ileus. *Shock.

Clinical pharmacology: *Organophosphorus compounds, poisoning. *Atropine toxicity. *Succinylcholine apnea. *Malignant hyperthermia. *Myasthenic crisis. *Acute salisylate toxicity. *Acute morphine toxicity. *Acute paracetamol toxicity.

G) Blood transfusion and fluid replacement therapy: (F)Antimicrobials for common infectious diseases caused by: *Bacteria. **Mycobacteria. ***Viruses. ****Fungi. ****Protozoa. *****Other micro-organisms.
