2 Aims and Objectives To demonstrate different activities that can be used to liven up a searching skills session.

3 1. Going shopping Imagine you have just won a million pounds and you want to buy a nice, new car. How do you choose one?

4 2. “Search-off” 1.Work through the first step of EBP. 2.Allocate sources of evidence to participants. 3.Give them 10 minutes to find the evidence. 4.Compare experiences.

5 Top Tips 1.Collect scenarios 2.Keep participants away from computers 3.Don’t assume step 1 of the EBP process 4.Store all your links on a social bookmarking site 5.Be prepared for technology failures 6.Allow time for experience-sharing 7.Remind people about online help and libraries
