4  Member of the Beach Boys  Manson hung out and stayed at Wilson's house with members of the Manson “Family”  Introduced Manson to members of entertainment business  Paid for recording sessions

5  Preached Helter Skelter  inevitable race war that would lead to annihilation of the white race  except for the family which would survive underground  Inspired by the Beatles song, "Helter Skelter"  Apocalyptic world  moved to Spahn's movie ranch  later to Death valley

6  Charles Manson shot Bernard "LotsaPoppa" Crowe  black drug dealer  believed this would start Helter Skelter

7  Sent members of the family to home of Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski  committed brutal and gruesome murders of 5 people  7-month pregnant Tate and the heir to the Folger's coffee fortune  similar murder took place at home of Leno LaBianca  Manson present at these murders

8  Manson and many other members convicted of murder  Manson first sentenced to death  changed to life in prison  Has been denied parole 11 times  Up for parole again in 2012
