6 Coverage SmartPlan and SmartSwap cover: –Products purchased as new or as recertified. –Products designed for use in Canada. –Products with at least an original 90 day manufacturer’s written warranty, valid in Canada. –Mechanical and Electrical defects normally covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

7 SmartPlan & SmartSwap The program offers two basic commencement terms: Date of Purchase (DOP): –SmartPlan Notebook Accidental commences Day 31 Term commences on Day 31 from the date the covered equipment was purchased One Accidental claim per year (including first) Regular coverage extends after expiry of manufacturer’s warranty –SmartPlan Exchange commences Day 31 Term commences on Day 31 from the date the covered equipment was purchased If defective, product can be exchanged once during the coverage term (no repair, auto exchange) Extension plans (EXT): –SmartPlan Extension Onsite –SmartPlan Extension Carry-In –Coverage commences on the date of expiry of the shortest portion of the manufacturer’s warranty –Regular coverage extends after expiry of manufacturer’s warranty –Covers Parts / Labour for repair or ONE replacement –Replacement satisfies contract (using original OPP as liability limit, does not reduce due to previous repairs.

11 Comprehensive Coverage Parts & labour coverage –Repaired to original manufacturer's specifications –SmartPlan will pay all labour costs involved in repairing a covered hardware item –SmartPlan will pay all part costs to replace failed parts –SmartPlan will replace the unit if it is too expensive to repair –Once product is replaced, coverage ends –Power Surge damage is covered

12 Claims Centre Live telephone support –Bi-lingual service – English and French –Toll free –Dealers can contact the centre through phone, e-mail or fax to facilitate the opening and processing of claims –Dealers can provide front line to customers – no 3 rd party needs to get involved with the customer directly

13 Dealer Service Service is provided by the selling dealer’s A+ Certified Professionals Where dealer is not able to service. W3 Service Network is authorized to repair most brands

14 World Wide Coverage Begins after the manufacturer warranty expires and is valid until SmartPlan expires. Protects customer’s investment if they travel outside of Canada. Customer must have a US or Canadian address

15 Selling SmartPlan

16 Bundling Bundle must include a desktop, notebook or TV Can only bundle peripherals; cannot bundle standalone items, like PDA’s, cellphones, MP3’s Cannot exceed 7 peripherals Cannot duplicate peripherals Internal peripherals do not count as part of the 7 but do count on the desktop or notebook dollar value. *Following the above rules you would add the total dollar value and sell a SmartPlan tier to cover all items.
