STRATEGYACTIONDATE 4.2.2 Support the education in and awareness of metrological principles, including measurement uncertainty and traceability, within the accreditation framework to ensure comparability of results used by decision- makers. 4.2.2.1. To develop an awareness course in the Middle East for accreditation bodies, metrology institutes and authorities. 4.2.2.1.1 To select venue for course, participating economies and speakers 4.2.2.1.2 Invite selected speakers and participating economies 4.2.2.1.3 Follow up logistics preparation by the responsible of the venue. STRATEGYACTIONDATE 4.2.3 Identify and disseminate knowledge about proficiency testing programs, needs and related policy issues. 4.2.3.1 To carry out a course on ISO/IEC 17043 and any new document regarding PT. 4.2.3.1.1 To select venue for course, participating economies and speakers 4.2.3.1.2 Invite selected speakers and participating economies 4.2.3.1.3 Follow up logistics preparation by the responsible of the venue. JDSC Action Plan STRATEGYACTIONDATE 4.2.4 Identify needs for laboratory, inspection body, and related accreditation services and their supporting infrastructure in developing economies. 4.2.4.1 To work with the regional bodies in order to obtain information on accreditation bodies from developing economies 4.2.4.1.1 To gather information on accreditation bodies from developing economies on how their infrastructure needs are compared to real numbers of laboratories and IBs in the economies. 4.2.4.1.2 To analyze data and select most needed economies according to their potential for accreditation. JDSC Action Plan STRATEGYACTIONDATE 4.3.2 Provide education and information/knowledge transfer regarding accreditation of laboratories, inspection bodies and related support services globally. 4.3.2.1 To develop no-cost conferences on accreditation (eg. Videoconferences) on topics that are of interest to ABs according to their region’s needs 2011

JDSC Action Plan STRATEGYACTIONDATE 4.4.1 Promote the benefits of the ILAC Arrangement and accreditation of laboratories, inspection bodies and related service providers by focusing communications and marketing to facilitate recognition of the ILAC Arrangement by industry, government and other end users of accredited services. 4.4.1.1 To develop and coordinate with UNIDO awareness campaigns directed to governments and industry from developing economies where UNIDO is authorized to support. 4.4.1.1 To carry out awareness campaigns directed to government and industry in economies where the JCDCMAS carries out events. 2009- 2010

JDSC Action Plan STRATEGYACTIONDATE 4.5.2 Develop, maintain and review partnerships with key players in government, industry and conformity assessment bodies as well as metrology, standards writing and professional organisations in order to identify, understand and develop initiatives to meet regulatory, procurement, industry and professional needs. 4.5.2.1 To work closely with JCDCMAS member organizations permanently in any forums and activities that can help ILAC members from developing economies PERMANENT
