3 Review and background Review the main events with your partner. T-P-S: How did Tituba’s testimony contribute to the witch scare? Who were the latest people to be accused of witchcraft? How were they different from the original three suspects? Is anyone in control in Salem?

4 Theme What are some single word themes you see in this book? Sometimes, simple, one-word themes are not sufficient to represent the ideas or themes of a book. Can you think of more complex themes that cannot be simplified to one word?
