AFTER-SCHOOL MATH REMEDIATION PROGRAM 2013-2014

Since 2002 the Algebra Readiness Initiative (ARI) has provided mathematics intervention resources and services to students in grades 6, 7, 8, and 9 who are at risk of failing the Algebra 1 and end-of-course assessment. The ARI consists of two major components: 1. A diagnostic assessment designed to guide instruction decisions for students that may need intervention services 2. Targeted intervention services for students

The ARDT is the diagnostic assessment used to identify students strengths and weaknesses. The ARDT is comprised of two types of tests: - A grade level diagnostic test (30 questions) - Strand tests

Results of the ARDT diagnostic test are used to identify student strengths and weaknesses in five strands: Number & Number Sense Computatation & Estimation Measurement & Geometry Probability & Statistics Patterns, Functions, and Algebra
