Turning Ethics into Action At IAE, ethical decision-making and responses to corruption have been explicitly considered during 8 courses: Analysis of Business Situations Organisational Behaviour Management Systems Aligning the Organisation Non-Market Strategy Corporate Social Responsibility Corporate Policy Corporate Governance (Elective) Ethical principles have been taught, developed and examined through technical notes, case-based teaching, group projects and oral examination. COMMENT: students embrace concepts where there is an opportunity to implement frameworks and assess outcomes

A Student’s Perspective Case-based teaching and debate is an essential foundation. Inspire through examples of good “citizenship” – Understand corporate best practice – Developing understanding of collective initiatives and decisions COMMENT: There is a need to increase student awareness of NGO and collective action initiatives Moving beyond citizenship to leadership – Understand stakeholders – Identify sources of advice and assistance – Instill partnerships and collective action as a priority response – Move beyond one-off decision-making COMMENT: Simulations offer students the possibility to implement frameworks and determine their own decision parameters

Conclusion Students value opportunities to implement knowledge within the MBA experience. Computer-based simulations offer an interesting opportunity: Practical experience for students Increased situational pressure and realism Statistical data for faculty and alumni Increased emphasis on collective action opportunities Ethical Individuals Ethical Citizenship Ethical Leadership
