4.  We have a variety of mentoring processes already in place at school  Weekly 1 to 1 sessions in PSHE with form tutors  Curriculum changes to give students extra support to achieve 5*- C with English and Maths  Review meetings with the year 11 Learning Manager (Ms Millest)  Spring term mentoring programme  Ms Ridgway and other members of SLT have further meetings with individual pupils as appropriate  Subject staff have regular meetings and catch-up/revision sessions for pupils  Parents Evening (Thursday 21st March 4-7) Mentoring Programme

5.  It’s never too early to start revising! Some students will have exams in November, ALL students have GCSE English in January.  Students need somewhere quiet to revise, preferably at a desk with good lighting  Students will need a revision timetable based on examination dates, covering all subjects  Controlled assessments also need revising for  After school revision sessions are already taking place in some subjects  All subjects are equally important Revision

6.  Coursework can be completed at home as well as in school.  Controlled assessment must be completed in school under supervision at specific times  Both are of real importance as they contribute to a student’s final grade  Coursework and controlled assessment can only be repeated in exceptional circumstances and therefore should be treated the same as a final examination Coursework and controlled assessment

7.  Examination timetables will be sent out as soon as possible and will include:  Exam dates  Exam entry deadlines  Controlled assessment dates  Re-sit policy  No re-sits unless there are exceptional circumstances.  All re-sits are to paid for by students/parents Examinations
