5  When air blows over an open ocean warm water is evaporated and they form cumulus clouds  The evaporation and condensation continue making the clouds rise  Then a pattern is formed when air goes down the middle and makes the storm swirl  When it grows the top cools causing it to become unstable which makes it moves they usually stop when they hit land

6  They usually form in the Atlantic or Pacific oceans  BUT ONLY OVER WATER

7 Hurricanes are really bad. They are the 3 D’s -Deadly -Destructive -Dangerous

8 In the North Atlantic, hurricane season is from June 1 to November 30, but most hurricanes happen during the fall.

9 Hurricane Katrina was the largest and 3rd strongest hurricane ever recorded to make landfall in the US. There were 1836 deaths total and more than half were senior citizens. 705 people are reported as still missing as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
