Who Is a Music Teacher? Her name is Mrs. Naoko Harada She is from Osaka, Japan (She visited her family in Japan this summer!) She is married and has three cats. She lives in Keller. She is a singer. Her favorite things to do… –Gardening –Going to Symphony Orchestra, Operas, or Musicals. –Teaching herself to play Ukulele –Spending time with her husband –Shopping

Continue… 1 st Grade Environment Sound Steady beat Identify instruments from woodwind, percussion, brass, and string family. “Carnival of the Animals” High/Low Fast/Slow Loud/Soft Solfege – Sol, Mi, La, and preparing Do (Tonic) Playing unpitched instruments Start playing Orff Instruments (Xylophone, Glockenspiel, and Metalophone). Rhythm 1 st grade will have a music program!
