KCP Missions The Kansas City Plant’s Core Mission is to be the premier manufacturing center of non-nuclear parts for nuclear weapons in support of the Nuclear Security Enterprise Expanded Mission is to leverage our core capabilities and expertise to support national security Rapid response fielding of components Ongoing support for strategic, enduring missions Assistance in maintaining aging weapon systems Assist in the transition of technology to fielded applications 3
