About University of Zenica Established in October 2000 by the government of Zenica-Doboj Canton Higher education in Zenica started at the High Technical School in 1959 Since 1961, HTS acts as the Faculty of Metallurgy within the Sarajevo University University of Zenica today: 8 faculties, 3 university centers, 3 institutes, 40 chairs, 6001 students, 414 academic staff, 47 study programs (26 BSc, 19 MSc, 2 PhD) http://www.unze.ba

Mission, Vision, QMS The mission of UNZE is based on two essential components of higher education: scientific education of students and the adults, through both curriculum and research process, in order to enable them to be productive in their current and future activities scientific research and innovation linking the university with the environment, economic and cultural events The mission of UNZE is to be the driving force of social development constantly being guided by the highest international standards of excellence

Mission, Vision, QMS Externally evaluated by: National Agency of Slovenia for Quality in Higher Education (2008) EUA - European University Association (2009) Curricula of 4 study programs externally assessed through Tempus project in 2012 Accreditation by National Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance initiated in 2012, expected to be finished in 2014 Quality Assurance Teams established in each organizational unit

Polytechnic Faculty Youngest organizational unit in UNZE Established in 2011, with two study programs: Civil Engineering and Production Engineering Uses premises and majority of staff from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty Strong (inter)national cooperation with industry and academia

Mechanical Engineering Faculty Established in 1977 Integrated into UNZE in 2005 1000+ graduated engineers until today 5 study programs: Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Product Design, Maintenance, Environmental Engineering and Management of Manufacturing Technologies Certified QMS in 2003 according to ISO 9001:2000 Recertification cancelled due to lack of university management commitment
