2 History Established 1991 by Jostein Hauge (UiB) From 1991: CRIS Conferences under the custodianship of the European Commission From 1995: membership meetings 2001: Custodianship of CERIF and Conferences transferred to euroCRIS June 2002: euroCRIS becomes a not-for- profit organisation with legal status

3 Mission and identity Professional association of CRIS experts (but with strong links to other communities like OA) Custodian of CERIF: Common European Research Information Format International recognized point of reference relating to all CRIS matters Stimulation of development and linking of CERIF-compliant CRIS

Very active community with many links to other communities and strategic partnerships Opportunity to join and participate actively in the work of the Task Groups according to R&D interests euroCRIS events (membership meetings, seminars, conferences) with tutorials, workshops, vivid discussions and hands-on information Members and TG areas on the website Newsflashes (6-8 per year) Discussion forums Mailing lists (general and TGs)
