2.  The first film was created by Louis Le Prince, in 1888. It was a two second film of people walking around in Oakwood Grange Garden. The clip was called, Roundhay Garden Scene.  The first films were shot at about 16-23 frames per second. Explains why people seem to “Glitch” and “Jerk” in silent movies.

3.  Of the many people working to develop motion pictures in the late 1800s, the most successful were Thomas Edison and William Dickson in America.

5.  The start of horror films really opened up the business of movie making. Horror films really got people hooked and brought it big money. From here movies became better as they got better story lines. For every person, there was at least one movie they could relate them selves to.
