5 Experiences (1/5) ISDN-based video conferencing –technology is working! –wait for your turn to speak –speak slowly and don’t move too fast E-mail –problems with Scandinavian fonts, attachment files and viruses –discussions and feedback between students and the teacher

6 Experiences (2/5) Newsgroups –cooperation, interaction and real discussions –place for students essays and project work Web pages –educational material and exercises –content and interactivity are essential –big pictures are too slow for modems

7 Experiences (3/5) Different cultures –richess, not weakness of this kind of education Feedback –very important! –takes time but improves learning Time –for teacher and for students!

8 Experiences (4/5) Feedback from students –technology is interesting and it works better than expected –students consider what they will say or write –it’s fine to have more courses –education in the Internet takes more time than expected - but also gives more Students take responsibility for their learning

9 Experiences (5/5) Feedback from teachers –teaching in the Internet is more demanding than in traditional teaching –it takes time to create the educational material in the Internet to give feedback to students –maintaining educational material in the Internet is easier than with traditional material
