2 Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge Undertaking a $23 million main span rehabilitation including railing and main span deck replacement. Seeking an additional $90 million for approach span repairs through TIGER II ($27 million) and other sources. Completing a $3.2 million Toll Booth Relocation Project in November 2010. Exploring E-ZPass installation options as a potential benefit to end users.

3 Seaway International Bridge $75 million north channel bridge replacement with a low level bridge; Project announced by Transport Canada in August; Currently tendering for in-water work New toll plaza constructed on bridge approach $65 million U.S. plaza completed June 2009 (6 car, 3 truck lanes) CBSA operating out of a temporary plaza in Cornwall (3 cars) exploring permanent location options

4 Thousand Islands Bridge U.S. plaza plans completed by GSA and submitted for 2011 construction funding – not included in budget $160 million – Increase from 11 lanes (3 truck, 8 car) to 18 lanes (8 hi-lo truck, 10 car) Land acquisition complete

7 Lewiston-Queenston Bridge Bridge widened from 4 to 5 lanes, Highway 405 widened $45 million project, completed in 2005 Canadian Plaza – $132 million project under construction to be completed 2011 – From 9 lanes (3 truck, 6 car) to 15 lanes (5 truck, 10 car) U.S. Plaza – Plans developed to increase from 10 lanes (4 truck, 6 car) to 16 lanes (variable booths) – $117 million lease proposal submitted in 2009

8 Rainbow Bridge $3 million deck replacement and joint repairs Completed May 2010 Whirlpool Bridge NEXUS only bridge $24 million structural repairs, lead remediation, new paint coating Completed June 2010

9 Peace Bridge Completed $50 million in reconstruction of Canadian plaza in 2007 (15 car, 4 truck) Adding a 5 th Commercial inspection lane to be completed in October 2010.

10 Peace Bridge Completing EIS for a companion bridge and new U.S. plaza. Record of Decision expected in Spring 2011. New $300 million U.S. plaza to have 25 lanes (13 car, 12 truck – all hi-low)

12 Detroit-Windsor Tunnel $8.2 million upgrade to U.S. plaza Two additional inspection booths, modifications to lanes, new primary inspections signage, expansion of the primary inspection plaza, creation of bus processing area, expansion and renovation of primary and secondary areas

13 Detroit-Windsor Tunnel Phase I was completed in June 2010. New inspection booths, partial plaza renovation. $1.2M Phase II is scheduled to start in November 2010 and be completed mid year 2011.

15 Blue Water Bridge Canada – New $110 million plaza under construction; multi-phase – CBSA commercial building and brokers complete spring 2011 – Total completion 2014 – Increase from 15 to 21 lanes (7 car, 7 truck, 7 hi-low) U.S. – EIS complete, Record of Decision issued – New plaza and connecting highways - $550 million project – Completion target 2017 – Property acquisition underway – Plaza not approved; ownership/lease to be determined, no funding allocated

16 Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge New $44 million CBSA plaza tender awarded; construction to be completed 2014 $9 million toll plaza reconfiguration on U.S. plaza to better coordinate with CBP commercial secondary inspection

19 “All land ports of entry must be designed in accordance with GSA’s Facility Standards for the Public Building Service and U.S. Land Port of Entry Design Guide and must conform with a building code; either one adopted by the local jurisdiction providing fire emergency services, or one adopted by GSA.
