6. Funding These activities were undertaking with very little funding. Much of the cost was covered by in-kind services – The city and county provided facilities and power, as well as resources, like bucket trucks – radio vendors provided equipment at cost or, in the case of experiments, no cost – Spectrum Bridge provided design and consulting for free – The System Integrator provided services at reduced cost Actual costs were probably less than $50,000 though there was probably closer to $150,000 invested

7. Outcome Wilmington worked because of the willingness of all the constituents to work together to get to a successful outcome. The systems were left operating because they solved a local need. They are maintained by the System Integrator (TVBS). After the formal roll out Experimental Licenses were obtained by the System Integrator to allow additional technologies to be tested and new applications to be studied. in cooperation with the city and county. these licenses are still active and trials/experiments are ongoing.
