2. Early Life Robert grew up in a family of 9 kids. As a boy, Robert Munsch had a difficult time in school. For fun, he wrote poetry. After high school, he decided he wanted to be a Catholic priest.

3. How did he become an author? During college, he got a job working at a daycare, and he loved it! Before naptime, he would tell stories to help the kids fall asleep. His boss suggested that he try writing his stories down, and he did! Mud Puddle is the first book he published.

4. Where does he get his ideas? He gets his ideas by visiting schools and staying with families.

5. He writes FUNNY books!
