7. We pray: God wants to help the people of Ninevah. Help us to care about others, even if we do not know them or they are different to us. God asks Jonah to help him, but Jonah makes excuses. Make us ready to listen to what you ask of us and to do it willingly.

8. God was always there when Jonah got into difficulties. Be with us, God, when we find things difficult. God forgives the people of Nineveh and he forgives Jonah for his selfishness Forgive us, God, when we make mistakes and do not live as you want us to live.
