Dissemination & Exploitation Difference between Dissem/Exploit (see next slides)– need to document the exploitation as well as dissemination Reports are essential and need to state exact details of any meetings e.g. Date, title of meeting, who present e.g. role titles or names ( if available) Hard copies of your dissemination e.g. newsletters 4
5
Dissemination “To disseminate” means to spread widely. This means spreading the word about the project as far and as wide as possible. It is crucial in helping the project to become sustainable after the funding has finished. Information-giving and awareness-raising are key activities to ensure that others benefit from our experience. 5
6
Exploitation (1) The verb “to exploit” means to make good use of something so that it is more productive or beneficial. This involves maximising the potential of our activities so that our results are used to the best possible advantage. For example, our web-based resources could be tailored to the needs of others; continued after the funding period has finished; or used to influence policy and practice. More people can then share in the successes, experiences and lessons learned from our project. 6
7
Exploitation (2) Instead of the word exploitation we can use other terms such as valorisation, mainstreaming, multiplication,, or sustainability. All these activities can be part of the exploitation of our project as they are plans for the future. In order to maximise the potential of our resources / networking we will need to involve others in our project. Sharing our knowledge with colleagues will lead to a wider and more lasting impact of our experience. Discussion with end-users of our resources, decision- makers as well as other interested parties and stakeholders will help to ensure that our resources/networking are relevant and meet their needs. 7

8 Financial Reports Travel forms: Email draft to AJH first Original to UNISON NW & original travel documents Specify in comments box the time journey started and finished Essential to receive these by 23rd November 2008 Salary certificates for Year 1 Time Sheets: Include all time spent, including other colleagues
9
9 Salary Certificate Separate one for each individual. Calculation of daily salary rate for staff employed in the project: To include the actual salary plus social security charges and other statutory costs included in the remuneration, i.e. it is the gross salary. For example it should include pension contributions from the employer. Non-statutory costs e.g. bonuses and lease cars are NOT to be included. To calculate the daily rate from an annual salary cost: Calculate the number of days worked per annum – i.e. 365 days less weekends and less holiday entitlement Divide the annual gross salary by the resultant number of working days
10
10 Time Sheet Reports Separate time sheet for each individual Don’t report less than 0.25 of a day Report under each work package – see your Contract Annex 7 for the maximum time you can report across the 2 years for each WP Can only show total number of hours allocated (add into comments if done more) Total number of days must tie in with the figure on your Personnel Costs Report
11
Personnel Costs Report The total number of days must be the same as the total shown on your Time Sheet Personnel Report must show the salary cost budgeted for you in the bid (AJH to advise in an email after Tallinn) If necessary, in comments section state that you are paid more than you are reporting and what that figure is 11
