Regional Carrier for Delta and United –Recently acquired new flying for United out of Dulles and O’Hare. –Crew domiciles in ATL and IAD Operate Bombardier CRJ Aircraft –112 CRJ-200 (50 coach seats) –38 CRJ-700 (70 coach seats) –10 CRJ-900 (64 coach seats, 12 first class seats)

6 Hiring Outlook No hiring expected in the foreseeable future. –Furloughed pilots still awaiting recall –Situation will not likely change until Majors start hiring –In the process of revamping the hiring process –Completing an in-depth study of past successes and failures

7 ASA Hiring Processes Application via web service 2 day interview process Day 1……. One on one interview (sometimes a second HR person) –Aviation questioning –HR questioning –Application review Written testing –Aviation knowledge –Tabular speed test

8 ASA Hiring Processes Day 2……. Simulator Evaluation – 30 minutes in the CRJ – BAI Flying – Graded based on set standards

10 ASA Training Program –120 hours of Systems and General Operations Modules which includes; A total of 24 hours of Systems Integration, –10 FTD (Graphic Flight Simulator ) 2 hour sessions, (20 hours) –At least the first session in a Level D simulator, and –A 4 hour Phase Check in the Level D simulator –40 Hours of Level D simulation which contains; 36 hours of training and a Proficiency Check which includes the oral exam 4 hours of Qualification LOFT –25 hours minimum of Initial Operating Experience –13 months of probation which includes jumpseat observations and chief pilot interviews
