4 The world spends; 36% of its web time using email, engaging in commerce, performing searches. 42% of time is spent viewing content. 22% of their time online engaging in social networking. 55% of Americans use the Internet every day... Of those: 45% send or read email and 40% use search engines 15% use social networks 5% play online games. Americans spends averagely 60 hours a month online. In a singe month, a web user visits 2,646 sites and logs on 57 times 70% of American Internet users participate in social networking. Nearly 90% of Brazil's Internet population is a part of this trend.

5 What happened with the Internet in 2010? 107 trillion e-mails sent on the Internet in 2010. 294 billion e-mail messages sent per day. 1.88 billion email users worldwide. 480 million new e-mail users since the year before. 89.1% of e-mails were spam which means 262 billion spam e-mails sent per day 2.9 billion email accounts worldwide. 6 Only one e-mail is not spam from every 10 e- mails sent everyday. This creates unnecessary mail traffic. Most of these spam mails are advertisements. So we can say that web allows new techniques of advertising.

14 We all know that popularity of social network sites are increasing but only Facebook redoubles its members every year since 2004.

20 What’s in it for us? Turkey will need to grow in internet vocation if it wants to be competitive in the global market. This gives the exploding youth of Turkey a great opportunity.
