Conformity What is it? –to give the same shape, or outline; to bring into harmony or accord –to be similar or identical also : to be in agreement or harmony –to be obedient or compliant –to act in accordance with prevailing standards or customs

Back to the Bible Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 1 Peter 1:14

Non-Conformity So, what is Paul saying: “Do not Conform” –Pushing back –Resisting –Exerting yourself against cultural forces that are contrary to the teachings of Scripture –Paddling upstream, against the current
