Responsive Scripture Reading Exodus 24:1-8; Joshua 8:32-35
19
24:1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
20
2 And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
21
3a And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments:
22
3b and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do.
23
4a And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning,
24
4b and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
25
5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.
26
6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
27
7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
28
8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
29
8:32 And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote in the presence of the children of Israel.
30
33a And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites,
31
33b which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim,
32
33c and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.
33
34 And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the law.
34
35a There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not before all the congregation of Israel,
35
35b with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.
