Query Health CEDD Timeline

Query Health CEDD Crosswalk available for community input: http://wiki.siframework.org/Clinical+Information+Model+Activity Volunteers have now started on the Generic User Story data elements and are working through creating the level of detail needed to support the Query Health technical approach. Support team developing draft of the Extended Analysis CEDD Specification for volunteer review and comment –Crosswalk available at the following URL: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApW4Ox66ml2IdEtYR 0lwenlJVWl6RC1vVnZuaEppeWc –Focus on the Generic User Story tab Our approach for this week: –Volunteer outreach for specific sections –Thank you to all volunteers already working on assigned sections! This Week’s Plan for the Query Health CEDD

Operations Working Group January 11, 2012

Review of Draft Query Health DUA Discuss the language updates that were made to the Draft DUA Length of time the DUA will be effective Clarity around Exhibit A and Exhibit B Data Source maintains the control over whether or not to run a query and release results Reasonable efforts need to be made to address data quality and/or data integrity Discuss any additional comments from workgroup members

Immediate Next Steps Consensus from larger Query Health Initiative on DUA Workgroup to review 30-90 day roadmap and start on next steps

Sample Data Use Agreement – key terms required for Query Health Consider the role of an HIE as a data provider. Separates the data owner from the data steward. May have impact on the policy sandbox. Best practice guidance where practitioners are running into differences in opinion on query requirements/regulations Identifying opportunities to lower the cost to establish a query network and run queries. May be situational. May be domain dependent. May require help from ONC policy makers. Need to ID highest impact opportunities without any change to regulations. Data source operations requirements supporting audit of queries including regular backups and point-in-time recovery Proposed Operation Workgroup Roadmap Steps

NYS DOH will be collaborating with NYC DHMH Other pilots in formative stages Pilots SWG Meeting update

Technical Working Group January 11, 2012

Technical Approach – Consensus Update Technical Approach has been consensus approved – Significant achievement for the Initiative Specifications and Standards around Query Envelope specification Declarative Query Expression based on next version of HQMF Changes Presented to Query Health Technical WG, HL7 SDWG http://www.hl7.org/documentcenter/public/wg/structure/minutes/HQMFforSD WG.pptxhttp://www.hl7.org/documentcenter/public/wg/structure/minutes/HQMFforSD WG.pptx Coordination started with NQF Declarative Results Expression based on refined QRDA Query Health CEDD Specification

Reference Implementation Top Level Components

HQMF ++ Specification Update HQMF ++ Keith’s proposed changes on the Technical WG wiki along with the recording for people who missed it. Coordination with NQF on-going Outreach to CMS on-going HL7 Project Scope statement started for a ballot later in the year Will be updated on the wiki for others to review, and link will be sent out in the minutes Keith Boone and Marc Hadley planning to meet next week at the IHE Connect-a-thon and work through details of the proposed changes NQF 0059 was the measure used initially NQF 138, 139, and 147 proposed as the next set of measures Links to be provided in the minutes. Keith Boone updating the HL7 Models so that schemas can be generated with the proposed changes

Query Envelope Specification Update Query Envelope Specification Activities in the early stages PopMedNet completing the Plug-in design document Outlines the integration aspects between Query Builders and PopMedNet Outlines the integration aspects between Query Execution Engines and PopMedNet Captures the Meta data information required to enforce policy sandbox requirements Preliminary Review of the Plug-in design targeted for tomorrow and early next week Plan to present this to the Technical WG next week

QRDA++ Specification Update Query Envelope Specification Activities not started Summary of the existing DSTU being prepared for review Outreach for volunteers with QRDA knowledge on-going

CEDD Specification Update Data Model Updates Clinical WG making good progress on identifying the data elements required Concept to Code Mapping Sub WG within Clinical WG Presentations continuing on the topic from experts Rick Biehl – Data Warehousing and Concept Mapping Jeff Brown – PopMedNet Olivier Bodenreider – National Library of Medicine Link to all the recordings and upcoming presentations http://wiki.siframework.org/Clinical+Concept+Mapping+%28Sub- Work+Group%29http://wiki.siframework.org/Clinical+Concept+Mapping+%28Sub- Work+Group%29

Reference Implementation Update - PopMedNet PopMedNet Plugin Design Document being prepared to integrate i2B2 and hQuery with PopMedNet Preliminary Review tomorrow and early next week Plan to bring this to the TWG next Thursday PopMedNet previous version based on.NET 2.0 platform available for review now – Uploading to the repository to be started today Major differences between the above and the version that will be used by Query Health to be released towards the end of February which is based on.NET 4.0 platform

Reference Implementation Update - hQuery hQuery Concept of the Execution Engine incorporated Decouples hQuery from MongoDB and can now work with Hadoop PopMedNet Integration work not started – waiting on the PopMedNet Plug-in design review Sample HQMF Translator work performed for simple query Will be Marc’s focus next week working with Keith Boone

Reference Implementation Update – i2B2 i2B2 Focused on the integration with PopMedNet Plug-in Design document review scheduled for early next week to start the integration work HQMF++ Translation work started by Keith Boone i2B2 XML explained by Shawn Murphy i2B2 XML  XSLT  HQMF ++

Next Steps Continue with the Reference Implementation and Specification Activities Soliciting volunteers who are experienced in R-MIM’s and XML/XSLT to help with some of the upcoming tasks Volunteers who can represent queries using the proposed HQMF Soliciting volunteers for the QRDA Work stream Expertise in QRDA specification Volunteers requiring access to the code repository Please sign up for a Google account at http://code.google.comhttp://code.google.com Project Repository - http://code.google.com/p/query-health/http://code.google.com/p/query-health/ Sign up for the RI at http://wiki.siframework.org/Query+Health+Reference+Implementation http://wiki.siframework.org/Query+Health+Reference+Implementation

HQMF Scope Statement – HL7 We will be sending out to be reviewed with the members of this group and other working groups so that enhancements to HQMF can be detailed and directly proposed to the Structured Documents Working Group (SDWG) as part of proposing a new HL7 project item for 2012

Important Announcements HIMSS Demonstration Update Planning for Demonstrations of HQMF and PopMedNet integration continue to be developed Possible demonstration also being planned by dbMotion Coordination with prior event schedules – WE WANT to be respectful of your schedules HL7 Meeting in San Antonio IHE Connect-a-Thon in Chicago CIMI Meeting in San Antonio Meetings are proceeding as scheduled this month but we will take great care to ensure everyone is kept up to date by phone/email so they can continue to actively participate.
