Jelgava Jelgava is Latvia’s fourth largest city, with 65 000 inhabitants. It is located 45 kilometres south of Riga and is one of Latvia’s greenest cities Jelgava is the largest education, science, culture and business centre in Latvia’s southern region Zemgale. Jelgava is a city with rich historical and cultural traditions. The Jelgava Castle, History and Art Museum and renewed Holy Trinity Church tower are only a few of the city’s gems that are worth visiting.
