Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE) – programs will build a network of adult education programs focused on helping adults become college ready Apprenticeships - offered by labor unions and others – previously did not count toward college credit Adult Workforce Centers – non-college credit – but often credentialed

Stackable Certificates – adult learners will build their academic and technical skills by earning a series of pre-college and college-level certificates Transfer of Military Credits – accept credit received through training and experience In the United States Armed Forces – if approved by the American Council on Education or regional accrediting body College Credit for Prior Learning
