3 Mammals are animals with fur. A bear is a mammal.

4 Leopards are mammals.

5 Kangaroos are mammals.

6 Dolphins are mammals.

7 Elephants are mammals.

8 Manatee are mammals.

9 Even this tiny mouse is a mammal.

10 The largest mammal on Earth is the blue whale.

11 The smallest mammal on Earth is the tiny shrew.

12 All of these animals share the same characteristic or trait. Each animal has FUR.

13 People are mammals, too. But we call our fur, HAIR!

14 All mammals, no matter how big or small, have fur or hair.

15 All mammals have vertebrae. Your spine is your vertebrae.

16 Your spine allows you to move and bend.
