A student’s guide to success: Good Attendance Be organized and prepared Do and CORRECT the homework and ASK QUESTIONS about the problems you missed Study the review sheets to prepare for tests and quizzes Do every extra-credit assignment Come to tutorial when you need help Take notes Participate in class and communicate to me when you get lost or confused. Ask lots of questions!!! Where to get help : Tutorial: This is a period following 3 rd period Tuesday – Friday where students go to any of their teachers to get extra help or practice. There is a list of private tutors on the district website Study with a friend that is doing well in the course Online learning sites (you-tube has an abundance of videos on virtually any topic). See me to schedule a time for extra help if none of the options listed can be utilized before a test or quiz Peer tutoring (all subjects) is generally offered in the career center. Class Rules and Behavioral Expectations Be on time and prepared with supplies daily Follow the school dress code Be respectful to all in the classroom No eating, drinking or gum in class (water ok) School cell phone policy will be enforced Students are responsible for making up and turning in absent work in a timely manner READ SCHOOL POLICIES ONLINE OR IN STUDENT PLANNER(all school policies will be enforced) Failure to comply with class rules may result in detentions, parent contact, referrals and/or suspension.
