2. Symptoms and Statistics
Neuroblastoma affects less than 200,000 people in the US which means it is classified as a rare disease.
Most children are diagnosed with the disease at 5 years of age.
Most of the primary tumors that occur are in the abdomen.
Symptoms
Pale skin
Chronic fatigue
Bone pain or tenderness
Difficulty breathing
Rapid pulse
Uncontrolled eye movement
Loss of movement (paralysis)
Profuse sweating

3. General Information
There are about 800 new cases of neuroblastoma discovered each year in the U.S.
Some causes of neuroblastoma are exposure to infection early in life, smoking, consumption of alcohol, and more.
Diagnostic testing for neuroblastoma include ultra sounds, CAT scans, blood tests, urine tests, and blood marrow tests.
It is a cancerous tumor of infants and children that develops from nerve tissue.
