Human Influences Deforestation: Humans needed space a wood Rainforest trees: cleared for farming, grazing, mining, and living space Many species are lost everyday Example: –A single tree can have as many as 43 species of ants on it

Medicine Most of the worlds medicine come from the rainforest plants 120 prescription drugs sold worldwide today are from rainforest plants Many of these plants are said to be the next cure for cancer
