2. He has represented the Junior National Team and the Senior National Team while in school, and has gone on to represent the Sri Lanka National team in 2007. As an Old Boy, he has contributed much to the development of basketball in school. He has coached the younger teams and has always been there to cheer them on at matches. Anushka, his elder brother Thilakshana (2001 batch) and younger brother Kanishka (2008 batch) have contributed to taking the sport of Basketball in D.S to grander levels. The Vishvanath brothers have all captained their respective senior teams and been instrumental in winning the All Island Championships and National School games. Anushka Vishvanath – Who Is He? He has represented his school in the sport of Basketball from the Under 13 team onwards. Captain of the Under 19 team in 2004 Instrumental in bringing glory to his Alma mater by leading his team to win both the All Island “A” Division Championship and the National School Games Championship.

3. He was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic leukaemia. Due to the gravity of the situation, he was taken to Gleneagles Hospital Singapore, this morning (15 th ). The family, who have contributed much to the school, are now in a dire financial situation in trying to treat their brother, to keep him alive. They are not able to readily raise the funds necessary to continue treating Anushka as is necessitated by his illness.
