Concrete5 All sites share common core o More efficiently apply patches and upgrades Non-destructive modification of core files per site Site Administrators can manage subsites within Architecture view Core exists outside of the www directory

Joomla! Sites contain separate cores o Not dependent on one core but more difficult to manage Core files should not be modified Site Administrators may manage subsites under single installation

Drupal All sites share common core o More efficiently apply patches and upgrades Custom theme and modules per site Core files should not be modified Site Administrators cannot manage subsites with domains under one folder

Development Developers may be given access to development environment Development Test Production Developers should not modify core files in dev environment Only Concrete5 allows non-destructive core modification

Site Administration Site Administrators do not have direct access to production server File management is handled by the CMS Concrete5 and Joomla! allows custom CSS from site dashboard. Though CAS Authentication possible, users and groups are managed by the CMS Only Concrete5 has ‘save as draft’ ability out- of-box
