Similar to a student internship, the VIP offers a guided period of exploration and skills cultivation in a new and dynamic work environment. This program reinforces our vision of the firm as an employer of choice and strengthens our brand as a corporate leader in our focus on veterans. Each program participant becomes an integral part of the firm, leading critical projects and refreshing professional skills. Veterans receive two rounds of 360º feedback from peers and managers, participate in weekly team meetings, and present deliverables to senior managers. In addition to their day-to-day roles, participants take advantage of trainings and networking opportunities with senior management. The program provides a window into full- time open roles at Goldman Sachs. Programming for the 2015 VIP included a comprehensive five-day orientation with capital markets training, panel discussions, roundtables with senior leaders and Excel training.
