3  Diet: urchins, abalone, mussels, clams, crabs, snails, and about 40 other marine species  Size: Height- 4-5 ft Weight- 45 lbs (females) 65 (males)  Housing Requirements: They sleep on top of the water  Climate Requirements: Water and minimal land

4  Relationship with other species: Prey- (refer back to diet) Predator- Orcas, Sea Lions, Bald Eagles, Great White Sharks, Polar Bear  It takes 3-6 years to be sexually mature (Pregnancy lasts for 6-8 months)  They usually have 1 pup but can have twins  They reproduce year round, but mainly in May and June  Otters are “Pack” animals

5  They float together in groups of less than 10 to more than 100 called “rafts”
