Before Graduation REQUIREMENTS –Must earn 23 Credits –Must Pass Required Classes –Online Credit Recovery: Grades Due May 8 –ACT/Michigan Merit Exam—March 2015 ONLY IF NOT COMPLETED IN MARCH 2014 –If Student Fails to Meet Requirements: May 15 is CONTACT DAY for Senior Failures Student will NOT participate in graduation activities Student may earn credit in the summer (by Aug. 15) to receive the same diploma.

Before Graduation PAYING FOR COLLEGE –Financial Aid Night—January 13, 6:30 Begin FAFSA on Jan. 1, 2015 Use 2014 Tax Information –Scholarship Opportunities AHS Counseling Web Page each month National Scholarship Search Sites Submit copies of merit scholarship offers to counselor by May 8 to be recognized at Honors Night.

4. Before Graduation COLLEGE PLANS –Online Applications (By Nov. 1) Decisions can take 6-10 weeks Colleges reserve the right to rescind their admission decision if grades or courses change College Application Week, Nov. 3-7 –Transcript Requests Student must request transcripts through www.parchment.com –ACT Score Requests Request scores from ACT (www.actstudent.org)

5. Before Graduation MAY 8 Online Classes Due –No extensions! MAY 11-14 Senior Final Exams MAY 14 Honors Convocation Practice MAY 15 Notification of Failure to Complete Graduation Requirements –Counselor will call parent to inform.

Before Graduation MAY 19 Preparation Activities –Book Fines and Fees MUST BE PAID BEFORE MAY 19 –Senior Breakfast –Graduation Practice –Cap and Gown Distribution –“Senior Walk” –Graduation Tickets Distribution (10 Tickets) MAY 21 Honors Night –If invited, attend Honors Convocation, 7 p.m. Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher for “Academic Honor Roll,” determined after first semester grades Scholarship Recognition and Department Awards

7. Graduation—May 28 GRADUATON at Ultimate Soccer –Graduates report 6:00-6:15 p.m. –Attendance by tickets only Graduates do not need tickets Ten (10) tickets per graduate –Professional photographer will be there
