4  Training starts two weeks prior to the beginning of the fall semester.  All RA’s are required to attend the two weeks of training.  Training is designed to help the RA’s prepare for any difficulties they may face while in the position.

5  Training is also a time for the staff to bond and build relationships within the staff.  The professional Staff design and prepare the training sessions based on what they feel is needed to prepare the RA’s.

6  Based on evaluations from previous years RA’s felt that two weeks was not enough time for all the material but do not want to spend any extra time on campus.  The returning RA’s felt that they were given repetitive information each year and not enough new material.  Professional staff were overwhelmed with training as well as preparations for the fall semester.
