- A sentence tells a complete idea. - A fragment tells an incomplete idea. Read each of the following statements and decide which is a complete sentence.

20 Examples Fragment: The current city policy on housing is incomplete as it stands. Which is why we believe the proposed amendments should be passed.  Possible Revision: Because the current city policy on housing is incomplete as it stands, we believe the proposed amendments should be passed.

21 Independent Practice Directions: Revise the following fragments into complete sentences. You may add or move words as needed. (Yes, that means you need to write these down.)
