Lining – What is it? A layer of fabric constructed separately from the outer garment and then joined at one or more major seams

Lining – Why have one? A lining gives an attractive appearance to the inside of the garment It also helps prevent stretching and wrinkling of the outer fabric Some linings are added for comfort or insulation

Lining – How to make May be cut from the same pieces as the outer garment Seam finishes are not necessary Use hand stitching to attach lining to garment along facings and hems
