What is Money? You may have heard someone say “money doesn’t grow on trees!” You know what, they are right! So where does money come from? It is made in factories! Well, money is the product that makes the world go round. People can save money and spend money to buy necessities for life and indulge in new things. Money comes in notes and coins in Australia. Australian notes are the long colourful pieces of paper and the coins come in the colours of silver and gold. Australian money is called dollars. Money in other countries is called different names such as in Japan money is called Yen. Money is earned through working in a job like Your parents may do.

What is that sign? This is called a dollar sign. It Is used to represent money such as: $4.00 -four dollars and zero cents- $23.90 -twenty three dollars and Ninety cents-
