Water Uses By Michelle Smading
3
Learning intention We are learning to write about the uses of water.
4
What do we use water for? Water is used for many things like swimming, cooking, cleaning and especially drinking. Without water in the world we wouldn’t survive.
5
Where does water go after we use it? After we use water from our sinks, showers, toilets, washing machines, and any other water systems in our homes, our dirty water or waste water must be disposed of either down a drain pipe.
6
What is water made of? Water is made out of little tiny units called molecules. Molecules are extremely tiny, way too tiny for you to see with just your eyes. In fact, they're so tiny that a single droplet of water contains millions of molecules. Water is made out of little tiny units called molecules. Why is water so important for the human body? Why is water so important for the human body? It’s very important for your body because your body would get dehydrated. In fact if you don't have any water you won’t have much energy to use.
8
Why do animals need water? Animals are just like us human beings. They also drink water but it’s much harder to find water for animals. We just turn on the tap and water is there for us so we should be very thankful that we've got water.
9
Where is the most common place to find water? I find water everywhere but most of all I find it in my sink and the taps and in the gardening hose so you can get water anywhere!
10
Is water good for us? The human body is largely composed of water. In men the total percentage is about 60% on average, and for women the average is 55%. When you sweat and use the bathroom you deplete the body's water stores because of this, you need to constantly replenish the body's supply of water.
