3 Baccalaureate and other first-time, full-time new freshman enrollment is up Baccalaureate academic credentials have increased once again Overall enrollment is down by 2.6% Decline shown particularly at the sophomore class level ◦ Undergraduate transfers at the sophomore level down 32 ◦ Undergraduate readmits at the sophomore level down 30 ◦ Freshman to sophomore retention down 4% Student credit hours down 1.6% F all Enrollment

4 Aggressive research undertaken to better understand contributing factors ◦ Telephone survey of U.P. former students eligible to return ◦ Mail survey to L.P. and out of state former baccalaureate new freshmen eligible to return ◦ Parent survey of admitted but withdrawn prospective new freshmen F all Enrollment
